About Ronald Watson
Ronald Watson, a native of Nebraska, received his BFA and MFA from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is an active artist based in Fort Worth, Texas who has been awarded an Artist Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and two grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities. He has been a guest artist at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, the Ohio State University, and Lehman College in New York. His work has been presented in solo exhibitions in Michigan, Texas, Illinois and Florida and is in more than a dozen public and corporate collections including the Geometric and Madi Art Museum, Dallas, Texas; the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wood (Milwaukee), Wisconsin; Standard Oil, Inc, Chicago and the National Collection of Fine Arts, Washington, D.C. Experience: Administration of School of Art with undergraduate majors in Art Education, Art History, Graphic Design and Studio Art and the MA in Art History and the MFA in Studio Art. Teaching: Undergraduate and graduate level art criticism & theory, design and color. Professional work: Active in painting and sculpture.
