About Ronan Doyle

One of the key things that drives me as a senior retail manager is the sense of achievement in continually increasing the performance of retail stores through effective leadership and management of change. Having worked in FMCG for over 20 years, I have been able to utilise this drive, combined with an exhaustive operational knowledge to transform the way stores operate, reduce costs, and increase profitability. A selection of my career achievements includes- Brought consistency and strong operational processes within a very challenging market in South Dublin - Led the opening and rapid growth of Tesco’s largest flagship store in Naas - Successfully implemented cost reduction programmes, managing contentious change Paying close attention to the details is absolutely crucial to success in a retail environment and I am relentless in analysing performance and pursuing KPIs. I have worked as a retail manager across several stores in the Tesco group during my career and had the opportunity to introduce new policies and procedures and refine existing ones to ensure stores are set up for success. I know that the success of a FMCG business depends on its people and as a senior manager with hundreds of staff in my area, I focus on getting the best from colleagues, maximising their performance to ensure outstanding customer experiences and the success of the business, while developing their skills to allow them to grow into future leaders. I am also continually learning and have the passion and energy to take on new challenges in work and in my personal life. I am a keen runner and have successfully completed several marathons.
