About Ronda Dalshaug

I have 18 years experience working within the Canadian Justice System within the Provincial Governments in Saskatchewan and Alberta and currently with The Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary. I have worked both as frontline Youth and Adult Probation Officer as well as a Supervisor with Community Corrections and Program Manager with The Elizabeth Fry Society. I recently moved to the role of Soksipaitapiisin Coordinator with The Elizabeth Fry Society which is the role of Coordinator of the Community Case Management Table which assists Indigenous participants with engaging with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community resources to support them on their healing journeys. In 2018 and 2019 I was a member of the steering committee working to develop the Calgary Indigenous Court and continue to work collaboratively with the Judges, Prosecutors, Defense Lawyers, and community agencies to support participants in addressing those areas that have contributed to their involvement in the Criminal Justice System. My passion is promoting the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and supporting individuals to address the results of colonization such as generational trauma, residential schools, substance use, and mental health through restorative justice and traditional ceremonies and supports.
