Past Experience : Device engineering work on characterization of 3D NAND (RG, BiCS) flash devices. Work included Device parameter development, Electrical Failure Analysis, Process feedback for reliability, performance, and yield improvement. One of the most exciting parts of the job was working with cross-functional teams, which involve regular communication with Device, Design, Process and Test teams across Japan, Singapore and the United States as well other technology partners. Education: Was aspiring to be a scientist and contribute to the realization of low-cost solar cells, so for undergraduate thesis researched organic semiconductors for solar cells. However, realized that multi-crystalline Silicon (mc-Si) was more practical for solar cells, and during Masters and Ph.D concentrated on understanding the formation and electrical activity of extended defects in mc-Si. Towards the end of Ph.D, got interested in the Poly-crystalline Silicon channel of 3D NAND, so took on a new challenge and got into non-volatile memory industry to work on flash memory devices after graduation.
