About Ronnie Dewitt

Over the last 6 years I have immersed myself in the tech community here in Austin and progressed from a sourcer to recruiter to client and sales manager in the tech recruiting industry. Through those experiences I developed a passion for the tech community and for the people in it and developed what I consider my greatest strength, building relationships. I think these skills have progressed enough that I am now interested in switching to the HR side of business and learn more about running a company in hopes that I can open my own one day. Speaking of, I have started steps towards creating my own business in my spare time. As a native of the Texas Hill Country, I have loved hosting those that visit. My wife, family and I have just started building our first tiny home and have aqcuired a small piece of land in Dripping Springs. We plan to start a tiny home retreat for those that come visit for weddings, wineries and breweries, and the beauty of the Texas hill country and can enjoy being in the middle of it all. Some other interesting things about me, I played college football at both the D1(University of Tulsa) and D2 (Angelo State University) level. I think those experiences taught me to handle adversity, be coachable, have tough skin, discipline, teamwork, and hard work. Football and sports in general is a huge passion of mine. My other love is Food. I am half mexican, I grew up on my mom's hip while she cooked every meal. I have grown up with that same admiration for cooking and for food and how it brings friends and family closer together. I enjoy trying new restaurants here in Austin regularly and also have fun cooking for family and friends as often as possible!
