I am currently working as a Contract Specialist/1102 for the Navy/DHA. I work on service and supply purchases for military hospital’s. As of May 2024 I will have 3 years of experience as a Contract Specialist. I served in the Navy as a Supply Corps Officer for 6.5 years on active duty and 2.5 years in the reserves. After serving in the Navy for 6.5 years I have managed a 90 man hospital warehouse, 10 man hospital contracting office with 50 personal service contracts and non personal service contracts. a 20 man stock control operation, a 20 man ship's services division, ship's postal operation, and 3 man disbursing operation, I've completed 3 deployments as a Division Officer. For additional duties I have done one deployment as a helicopter control officer, been the departmental safety representative for three years, command voting assistance officer for three years, supply petty officer training coordinator three years, and a clinic pharmacy auditor for three years. Prior to becoming a Commissioned Officer in the Navy I worked for Lawn Doctor as a lawn care specialist to pay my way through college, making me the first person in my family to earn a Bachelor's.
