About Roopesh Lahoti

I am an Audit Manager at KPMG Netherlands with eight years of experience in financial reporting and assurance, covering PCAOB, US GAAP, IFRS and Dutch GAAP. My current work includes managing integrated PCAOB audits of SEC-listed biotech companies, with a focus on R&D pipelines, licensing & collaboration agreements, financial consolidation and SOX compliance. This has provided direct exposure to the reporting challenges of innovation-driven, R&D focused business that operate under high regulatory and investor scrutiny. I also lead Dutch GAAP engagements for clients with subscription-based business models, which has given me insight into the reporting and risk assessment challenges faced by fast-growing scale-ups. Previously, I spent more than four years auditing US-listed consumer and Industrial companies, gaining extensive experience in PCAOB audits, SEC reporting and financial reporting under US GAAP. This built a strong grounding in external audit and assurance and gave me perspective on the complexities of global supply chains and evolving revenue models. I also audited consumer business under IFRS and IND AS, which gave me the technical base I continue to build on today. As a manager, I lead high performing teams through complex engagements, mentor professionals and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver clear, reliable and timely results. I value collaboration, project management and transparency, and I understand how financial reporting connects with the operational drivers that shape business performance.
