About Roos Broek

Currently I am studying a master degree Global Business and Sustainability at one of the top universities of Europe, namely Erasmus University. The reason why I chose this study is because I want to make a difference in the world and I know this study gives me the possibility to do so and start my development as a sustainable leader. However, before striving to be a sustainable leader at a company, I first want to achieve a PhD position in sustainability. During my bachelor International Business Administration and my bachelor thesis I've experienced that I really enjoy doing research, gathering new information, developing solutions or new insights. This way I want to establish a better insight regarding sustainability and companies before deciding in which industry I would like to pursue a career as a sustainable leader. I'm a hard working, motivated, ambitious person striving for aspiring goals. This is something I found out during my international hockey career, playing professional field hockey. I learned what it was to work with a team and as a team, developing true team player skills. My biggest accomplishment is winning Olympic Gold at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. I've experienced what it means to make sacrifices, strive for a high common goal, and to not give up but always search for new ways of motivation. These capabilities and attributes mentioned above explain why I chose Erasmus University. I'm very ambitious and set high goals while striving for the best, not only on the hockey field. Therefore, I wanted to study at one of the top Universities knowing that I would develop myself the most here. I aspire to be a sustainable leader because I like to lead people towards a common goal, to get everybody motivated to share the same vision. Currently I am captain of my hockey team and this way I am developing my leadership skills.
