About Roosa Salin

I currently work as a VAT specialist at the Finnish Tax Administration, focusing on VAT of large taxpayers, and more specifically, VAT issues regarding financial sector (e.g. insurance and financial services, VAT groups and private equity firms). With a Master of Science in Financial Law from the University of Eastern Finland (2019), I also have rigorous understanding of taxation as a whole. My career spans over four years with VAT, including prior experience at PwC Finland's and KPMG's indirect tax teams. My core competencies lie in meticulously navigating the complexities of VAT regulations and multinational tax landscapes and ensuring that VAT is, above all, understandable (or even better - interesting) for clients. My hands-on experience includes, for example, different written proceedings, litigations, due diligence, tax audits, reorganizations, VAT registrations and pre-emptive discussions.
