About Roques Mayhall

For as long as I can remember, travel has been a dream of mine. Throughout my studies, I looked for ways to accomplish this dream, from picking majors that would lead me to study abroad to searching out jobs overseas. Having finished my undergraduate education, I'm proud to say I have done just that: I went on 3 study abroad to Spain, Greece, and Costa Rica and even worked as an assistant teacher in Spain. Now, I want to do more. My Spanish studies lead me to look abroad but international relations kept me there. I found I have a passion for analysis and research. My undergraduate honor's thesis, a comparative literature project combining history, politics, and feminist study, allowed me to explore complex ideas of political destiny, classism, and feminism. I realized that I wanted to do more than just learn about these topics, I wanted to do something about them. So here I am, trying to combine my passion for travel with my desire to understand and solve the world's problems. It's a lot, but I've never been one to shy away from a challenge.
