I started out wanting to make movies about the future, but after a few years realized it would be more fun to just make the future for real. Currently researching methods to stabilize resistive tearing modes in tokamaks, and applying machine learning to predict and control the evolution of fusion plasmas. Other interests include stochastic optimal control, computational methods for plasmas and fluids, astronautical engineering & manned spaceflight, fast & robust numerical solutions to ODEs and linear systems, fluid dynamics, dynamical systems & chaos, plus a few (many) others.
