About Rory Moore

I am enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible, and am a hard working person. I am a mature team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations. I am able to work well both in a team environment as well as using my own initiative. I am able to work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. I have had over 35 years in the construction sector dealing on site and at head office level as well as the private sector, corporate, and government services. Namely, petrochemical, ports and harbours, rail and roads, forestry, agriculture, and mining. I was on the committee as a member and vice chairman for the IWH the Institute for Work at Height, helping make key recommendations to the government on safety issues for work at Height. I was also a long-standing committee member and past chairman for the CPHA, the Contractors Plant Hire association for my province. One of my key achievements was opening a training school to teach operators the skills on how to use a MEWP, mobile elevated work platform ( cherry picker ) correctly and to certify them. My passion was problem solving and helping people to achieve their desired outcomes using various types of equipment found in the Plant Hire industry. I was also involved in many tender and purchase projects, with Government, Corporate, construction and Private deals. I was fortunate to have help run a family business for many years with a number of Depots and a number of multi cultural staff members. I enjoy dealing with people face to face listening and advising on solving their issues. I have experience in a wide variety of industries. Lastly but most importantly, I am a God fearing family man.
