An educator that thrives on re-engaging students back into the classroom through the use of most recent innovative social media technology as a means of connecting students and topics discussed within the classrooms with real-time scientific discoveries. Accomplished instructor teaching University curriculum that includes human anatomy and physiology, comparative physiology, cell biology and dynamics, genetics, developmental biology, medical embryology and mechanisms of disease. Trained as a scientist from the University of Toronto with 8 years of experience in research that includes a PhD in Cell and Systems Biology and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Human Physiology and Diseases. Goals-to inspire students to look beyond their textbooks and bring the most current scientific discoveries and technologies into the classroom-to maintain a teaching career where my approachable demeanor and student-centric mentality will revolve around improving student participation in the classroom-to challenge students and encourage them to believe that success goes hand-in-hand with hard work.
