About Rosario Moreira

Experienced Academic Leader | MBA Director | Professor | Consultant | Researcher With a career spanning nearly three decades in higher education and executive development, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with leaders across sectors, bringing together academic insight and practical business acumen. I currently serve as Director of the Global Online MBA at Porto Business School, and I am a Professor at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) and at Porto Business School. Throughout my academic journey, I have taught and coordinated programs in Consultancy projects, Entrepreneurial projects, Optimization, Operations Management, Quality, Management Control, Project Management, and Digital Transformation, contributing to the education of future leaders and decision-makers. My work also includes leadership roles in academic governance, including directorships, committee participation, and curriculum development. My experience extends beyond academia through ongoing collaboration with organizations in consulting, executive education, and strategic advisory. I have worked with professionals from multiple industries in MBA and postgraduate programs and have designed and delivered training in areas such as international operations, project management, and leadership in complex environments (e.g, Banco Santander, local government initiatives - Porto municipality, wine industry, etc.). Since 2019, I have been a researcher at INESC TEC, contributing to international publications and conferences in areas such as lean operations, innovation, internationalization, e-commerce, and social media. Currently, I also serve as a non-executive director at Futebol Clube do Porto SAD, where I apply my expertise in governance, strategic thinking and organizational development, bringing my academic and strategic expertise into a corporate governance setting. At the intersection of academia and industry, I focus on responsible leadership, critical thinking, and sustainable decision-making — qualities that are essential for navigating complexity and leading impactful transformation.
