I have always had an interest for computers and Internet. In my free time I have always been busy playing around with web design, HTML, Wordpress and CSS. It was therefore a logical choice for me to choose the study Business IT & Management. During this period I was also able to gain professional experience as an ICT Support agent and Junior Systems Developer. This allowed me to improve upon my general IT knowledge and has given me the experience in working professionally with different systems and programming languages. After three years I decided to continue my studies with a broader and international management study that also happened to focus on my other passion, the hospitality industry. I obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration at the International University of Hospitality Management The Hague. This is how I started working at an international quality research firm as a Business Manager where I gained extensive experience in setting up frontline quality improvement programs in a broad range of industries. Here I developed the skills to analyse project data and organizational processes in order to identify problem areas, bottlenecks and points of improvement. After two years I was asked to setup and run the organizations ICT department. As ICT Manager / Online Manager I was responsible for all ICT related matters for the 6 offices in Europe and Asia. The combination of my experience as a Business Manager and experience and affinity with IT enabled me to perfectly translate the organizations needs to our external suppliers.
