Accomplishments- Have implemented successful enriched math program k-8 - Implemented a Reggio inspired kindergarten program- Designed and implemented Hudson College Middle School Preparatory Program- Have developed Learner Profiles that bridge student movement from one grade to next and assist with transition into high school- Have researched, written and implemented all elementary school policy - including progressive descipline policy- Have designed and implemented Tiered Learning in language based subjects for enrichmnt purposes- Created a yearly 8 day rotation schedule for k - 8 that includes 16 teaching staff- Created weekly duty schedule- Responsible for monitoring 'students at risk.'- Write and implement IEPs for students based on review of psych-educational assessments- Review of Teacher long range plans, teacher coaching in all academic subjects and providing support as required with managment of student academic and behavioural management- Assist with resume reviews and teacher interviews for permanent and supply teachers- Wrote elementary school entrance tests- Responsible for managing and reviewing school wide and individual student standardized testing results (CTBS and DRAs)- Specialist qualificaion in Special Education, and level 2 qualification in elementary Guidance- Private school Principal training (York University)- Member of National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
