About Rose Goddard
Director of the Cultural Philanthropy Foundation, a charity campaigning for the democratisation of culture, recognising that philanthropy is both an expression of empathy and a form of power. Collaborating with hundreds of cultural organisations across the UK, the Foundation strives to raise awareness of the value culture contributes to society, and particularly the central role the cultural sector must play in responding to the climate and nature crises. Together, we advocate for new approaches to cultural sector funding and work to foster a more inclusive and resilient future for the arts. Founder of The Climate Fiction Prize, celebrating the most inspiring novels tackling the climate crisis. Launched at Hay Festival in June 2024, the prize will first be awarded to a single novel in May 2025. Because fiction can fire our imagination in a way that statistics can't.
