About Roshelle Thompson

As a first-year Forensic Psychology MA student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, I am committed to building a meaningful career as a Clinical Psychologist with a specialization in forensic treatment. My passion lies in exploring the intersection of psychology and the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on rehabilitating offenders with mental illness. Upon completing my master’s program, I plan to further my expertise by obtaining a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I aim to apply my clinical and research skills to impactful work in the field, and to identify and leverage community resources to address the unique needs of forensic populations. I am actively seeking a stimulating externship in a forensic setting, such as a prison or forensic psychiatric hospital, where I can contribute to and learn from efforts focused on rehabilitating individuals within the criminal justice system. I am also open to new experiences and mentorship opportunities that will support my professional growth and enable me to make significant contributions to the field of clinical psychology.
