About Rosie Stone

Senior Assistant Psychologist with work experience in community mental health teams, primary and secondary care services, research and SEND. I graduated from Psychology BSc with Hons (2:1) and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner post-graduate training. I am BPS accredited and currently work in a specialist secondary care service. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and want to change the way we approach our mental health services in a practical but personal way- the individual is more important than their diagnosis and we should treat them as such. I am especially interested in trauma informed practice and using attachment to predict and rewrite our struggles. I'm a passionate, empathetic individual who takes great pride in her work and the wellbeing of others. In my free time I love addressing and raising awareness for mental illnesses, particularly in "taboo" issues such as personality disorders, trauma and addiction, I also possess practical skills. I am a great team leader but am also happy to work as part of a team and to develop trust within a team so that everyone is respected and can give their valuable contribution. I have great literary skills, dabbling in story writing and poetry occasionally, and am able to pick up new skills quickly. I can use intermediate BSL and French.
