About Ross Aguilar

Industrial valves aren’t glamorous, but they’re critical. After 10+ years in this industry, I’ve come to appreciate that how a valve is specified, sold, and supported matters just as much as the valve itself, especially when you're dealing with anhydrous halogens. That’s where I focus. I started in inside sales at a gulf coast valve distributor, then moved into 100% commission sales with a small Louisiana based industrial equipment distributor. I learned quickly how to build trust, solve problems, and survive when no one hands you a lead list. A few years later, I joined descote, a French specialty valve manufacturer, to help build its U.S. & Canadian presence. I was hired as VP of Sales & Marketing and tasked with starting the operation from scratch, during a pandemic. Today, I lead our North American operations. I spend my time in the field, visiting plants & refineries, answering late-night spec questions, and helping our team win critical orders. I’ve learned that success in this space doesn’t come from selling products, it comes from showing up, following through, and caring about the details no one else wants to deal with. Outside of work, I’m a husband, dad, and former road cyclist who’s now just trying to keep my back in one piece. I travel a lot, but I always try to make time for good conversation and strong coffee.
