About Ross Allen

I am currently Head of APAC for Rimes, a leading provider of investment data management and portfolio optimisation tools for the leading asset owners, asset managers, asset services and banks globally. The need for independent and well curated capital markets and investment data is key to developing AI-centric data driven workflows, insights and analytics. Rimes unique combination of best-in-class index and benchmark data, EDM solutions, managed services and portfolio optimisation tools offer our clients access to the critical data, technology and expertise to develop these highly efficient data-centric workflows. Prior to Rimes, I spent 18 years at IHS Markit and was Managing Director and Head of APAC Financial Markets. I joined IHS Markit as a start-up in 2004 and we grew rapidly to become a global data, software and analytics listed company (acquired for $44Bn by S&P Global in March 2022). I worked extensively across all major public and private assets, with a strong focus on complex data solutions, valuations and pricing of financial instruments and financial risk management. Being an early employee of this entrepreneurial and innovative “Fintech” has given me the opportunity to work in three continents and enjoy cross-functional experience across operations, product development, product management, commercial, strategy and executive leadership roles. I was also Chief Commercial Officer at Vyzrd, an innovative climate risk analytics platform which integrates climate risk into future cash flows and valuations.
