About Ross Harrison

Ross Harrison is an assistant professor of gynecologic oncology and provides surgical and medical treatment for patients diagnosed with cervical, endometrial, ovarian, and other gynecologic cancers. He studies health services research – a field that examines how social factors affect access to health care, as well as the cost, quality, and outcomes of health care services. His interests within this field include cost-effectiveness evaluation, decision analysis, and financial toxicity. Dr. Harrison has published studies in these areas, and he is a peer reviewer for multiple journals. After graduating from medical school at the University of Florida, Dr. Harrison completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. After residency, he completed a four-year fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. During his fellowship, he completed a Master in Public Health degree with a focus in healthcare administration from the University of Texas School of Public Health. Dr. Harrison is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
