About Ross Jackson

Ross joined the private sector in 2003 after more than 20 years service in the Australian Army Signals Corps. During his military career, Ross worked predominately in operations and training roles. Since leaving the military in 2003, Ross has specialised as an information and security risk manager working across engagements in project manager, technical lead, security specialist and advisor roles. He has provided information and security management services in mission critical facilities dependant on high levels of information assurance, he has worked in ICT operations roles at the tactical, operational and strategic levels and he has instructed at Army and Defence schools. Ross has experience in planning, managing and securing ICT systems at all levels of classification on both open and closed systems. He has worked on both sides of the client–provider relationship; managing service provision and as the information manager for client organisations. Formal professional development has included training in system planning, development, and management, electronic warfare, information security, risk management, operations management, compliance, governance and leadership.
