About Ross Mooney
I am a consulting engineer (BEng. Hons). I started out my career as a QS (BSc. Hons) and requalified as an engineer a few years later. I worked on major civil engineering projects in the UK for several years, and I then returned to Ireland to work for a leading building contractor. In 2012 I joined John Mooney & Company consulting engineers. I have been specialising in forensic (litigation) engineering since that time. In 2015 I qualified as a forensic collision investigator (UCPD) from De Montfort University to enhance my expertise in road collision investigation. In 2020 I took over as managing director of the firm, while John Mooney remained as a consultant. Since 2012 I have been involved in many forensic engineering cases. My area of expertise ranges from motor traffic accidents, manual handling, slips, trips, falls, etc, public and employer liability, and building disputes. I give evidence in civil cases in district, circuit, and high courts.
