Currently employed as an EHS consultant since I previously held positions as an environmental coordinator for a base metal mine, effluent control technologist for a copper smelter and laboratory analyst for an environmental and industrial hygiene laboratory. Relevant work experience in EHSC management system implementation, auditing and maintenance, EHS regulatory compliance, assurance and due diligence auditing, training, facilitation and environmental assessment, decommissioning and remediation. Excellent understanding of the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Extensive audit experience (225+ audits). Certified auditor with the Quebec Environmental Auditing Association (AQVE) and certified EMS lead auditor with ECO Canada. Recognized verification service provider for the Mining Association of Canada's Towards Sustainable Mining initiatives, the Green Marine environmental program, and the International Cyanide Management Code. Fluently bilingual (English / French - spoken and written) with excellent communication skills including the capacity to simplify complex subjects and the ability to interact with ease with persons at all levels of an organization. Exposed to a wide range of projects in various sectors including primary and secondary industries, public sector, First Nations and international work (West Africa). Comfortable working in office, industrial and field settings including isolated locations. Available to travel.
