About Rossy Sanchez

As a child playing with dolls on the beach of Guanabo, Cuba, I dreamed of being a teacher but quickly realized that every little girl I met also wanted to be a teacher. That’s just way too much competition, I thought, and let it go. As an introspective and self-analyzing teenager, I wanted to be a psychologist, but read that people who self-analyze should never be therapists. Guess that could be kinda crazy. I let it go. Later on, I wanted to go live in a monastery in India but heard that only men were allowed in them. Whaat? The nerve! I let it go. So I never became a teacher, a therapist or a monk. But I became everything I wanted to become without exactly becoming it. As a Zumba Instructor I taught adults to shake their hips and shimmy; as a Copywriter, I taught co-workers how to write creatively; as a Toastmaster, I teach my mentees how to shed the fear of public speaking. And now, as an Emotional Intelligence Trainer and mindfulness practitioner, I guide people, whether in a corporate setting or in one of my workshops, to become more self-aware, self-accepting and infuse their life with passion and purpose. I’ve yet to go to India and I don’t walk around in orange robes (although I should – it’s a good color for me), but I know firsthand the transformational power of meditation, and, therefore, I now help others tap into who they really are so they can start living the life they came here to live.
