About Rougui Kaba

I’m a sophomre at Purdue University majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with an avid interest in intelligent systems, humanity-centered designs, and politics. Actively involved on campus, I contribute to the National Society of Black Engineers, the Women in Engineering learning community, the Minority Engineering Program, and EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service). My most rewarding involvement is with EPICS, where I served as an engineer and a project partner liaison. Working on the design of a portable wheelchair lift for the Purdue Dance Marathon, I apply my problem-solving skills and engineering knowledge to address real-world challenges. This experience not only enriches my academic journey but also provides valuable insights for my future professional career. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and discussing literature at the Medical Humanities book club and learning the captivating art of boxing with the Purdue Boxing Club. Looking ahead, I aspire to earn my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in computer engineering, pursue an MBA at Harvard University, and collaborate with international and governmental organizations to drive sustainable change, focusing on humanity-centered designs.
