About Rowan Cameron

With over a decade at the newly named Authentic Education (Previously Ambitions Academies) my journey evolved from teaching assistant to a dedicated science and mathematics educator, fostering a love for STEM among students with SEMH and neurodivergent needs. Now, as an unqualified teacher holding a BSc in Natural Sciences, attained whilst working with the Trust, and in my 8th year of teaching, my focus is now on blending scientific and mathematical rigor with compassionate, and individually tailored teaching methods to engage students. I possess an inherent abilty to work effectively and productivity with students of a broad academic ability and support requirements, especially with the blur segment between SEMH and SEND. The benefits I have gained from from my unique and diverse employment background are immeasurable. I possess experience that combines scientific industry experience within the NHS and also a private Microbiological Laboratory within Bournemouth alongside a specialisation in working with non-verbal and low-functioning autistic students in a care capacity within a boarding school combined with expertise with students who have complex aqnd often comorbid emotional and behavioural needs within an educational setting. This diverse experience equips me with innovative strategies to support and empower every learner, making science and maths accessible and engaging for students with diverse abilities. My "next step" is attaining Qualified teacher status. Completing the dream that I didn't know I even had, seeded 11 years ago.
