About Rowan Diskin

I am an Electronic Engineer and owner of Keld Ampworks, a British enterprise focusing upon the repair and manufacture of audio equipment. Keld Ampworks produce a number of products, including- Tiny onboard guitar preamp, the K-Boost - 3 band frequency isolator for the DJ market - Scaleable 150-600W Class D power amp module for bass guitar amplifiers. Much of Keld Ampworks' commissions are music equipment repairs, with an average of 20 repairs in house per month and a five star rating for repairs on Facebook business, FreeIndex and Qype. Valve and transistor repairs are undertaken. My own electronic expertise is in Class D power amp design, analog circuit design, digital circuit design and ARM Cortex M development in C. Formerly, I worked in the research and development department of Ampetronic Ltd, a manufacturer of audio frequency induction loop amplifiers. I was a project manager undertaking the development of amplifiers and ancillary products, from specification and costing through PCB design and prototyping into manufacture and product compliance testing. Before beginning my professional career in I completed a MEng level degree in electronic engineering at the University of York. Whilst at university I pursued an academic interest in the electronics of the audio industry, which led to employment with Ampetronic in this related field.
