About Rowan King
I am the co-founder of all•Access, a BC-based organization that is the only local west-coast Canadian business that provides hands on, people-centred web accessibility services. We support government teams and organizations in their digital accessibility journeys to make their online environments as welcoming as their built environments through accessibility testing and audits, training, and consulting. As a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) with the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), I have honed my expertise in accessibility over the past 8+ years since my education in Library and Information Technology. I have also learned from my own lived experience as someone with disabilities and my family and loved ones’ experiences with disability. I’ve taken what I learned from my diploma, lived experience, and my time in non-profit management, and have lent my skills and expertise to the Government of B.C.’s Government Digital Experience division, as well as other ministries to advocate for digital accessibility through auditing and training. Over the past several years I have delivered many accessibility audits and dozens of training, including sessions for Learn at Work Week and Plain Canada.
