About Roxana Trujillo

Engineer and Aerospace Scientist, specializing in Remote Sensing and Satellite Earth Observation. I hold an MSc(c) in Geophysics and a PhD(c) in Computer Science with a focus on Geoinformatics. My career has been dedicated to the analysis, processing, and application of advanced geospatial technologies, with a strong focus on satellite data interpretation, geospatial modeling, geoalgorithm development and machine learning for image analysis. My expertise extends to project management in strategic areas such as environmental monitoring, water resource management, geodynamics, territorial planning, and mining. In academia, I teach at multiple higher education institutions, delivering courses in satellite remote sensing, image processing, applied geostatistics and data science. Additionally, I have led the creation and coordination of specialized academic programs in geospatial analysis, contributing to the training of future experts in the field. I have led and participated in pioneering projects in artificial intelligence and applied geoinformatics and my work has been recognized with multiple awards for academic and professional excellence and I have been selected as a national representative in international training programs on space technology and resource monitoring.
