About Roxane Bervini

I was born in Lugano, Ticino and I grew up in Tremona, a small village surrounded by nature nearby Mendrisio. From 2002 to 2008 I studied architecture at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio (AAM), where I graduated with Professor arch. Aurelio Galfetti. I also have a second passion: the cello, which I have been playing since age 7, obtaining my Cello Diploma at the Conservatorio di Como, Italy in 2004 with my Maestro Paolo Beschi. From 2008 to 2012 I worked as an independent architect in Mendrisio. At that time I developped my approch to architectural preservation, restoration and transformation, becoming teaching assistant at the AAM, as well as teaching assistant for the degree course in architecture at the Dipartimento Ambiente Costruzione e Design (DACD), SUPSI. My very first restored house is a 150 years old fisherman's house in Port-Navalo, Brittany, France. The history behind each building fascinates me. From 2012 to 2013 I worked in New York City as architect, project manager and designer at A*PT Architecture in Manhattan, on the interior renovations of 5 public school libraries and 1 auditorium in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx and Queens (client: the NYC School Construction Authority). In 2014 I moved to Basel, where I currently live with my family and two children. From 2014 till 2019 I worked as architect and project manager on various projects, from ancient private houses to public schools, from interior designs to hospitals at Vischer Architekten, Basel. Since 2019 I work at ARS Architektur AG in Münchenstein, BL, following all stages of the building development, from design to construction, from planning management to financial management. I am a happy generalist.
