About Roxane Legaie

Translating Cancer Genomics from Research to Clinical practice ** I am a highly experienced Clinical Bioinformatician specialized in the development and validation of bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data for the purpose of clinical diagnostics. Driven by a strong passion to advancing personalized medicine for cancer patients, I am commited to introduce cutting-edge informatics solutions and to maintain best practices through wet-lab and pipeline accreditation for NGS-based diagnostic tests. At the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, I proudly lead a team of developers by fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Together we address all clinical informatics needs of the Molecular Pathology department and we thrive to meet the highest industry requirements such as NATA accreditation - whose assessors recently recognised our exceptional work. I also enjoy facilitating collaboration among key stakeholders - medical scientists, clinicians, pathologists, IT professionals and programmers - ensuring constant refinement and enhancement of our clinical informatics solutions through a rigorous DevOps approach.
