About Roxanne Ramirez

Doctora Ramirez completed her Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in Summer of 2022. She received her internship training at the Federal Correctional Complex, in Butner, North Carolina and is currently in fellowship training at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. She has a keen interest in working with seriously mentally ill (SMI), justice-involved, and at-risk individuals. Dr. Ramirez has several years of experience managing clients with SMI across various settings, including community mental health centers, juvenile correctional facilities, psychiatric hospitals, federal prisons, and VA Medical Centers. Across these settings, she has provided short- and long-term therapy services, managed crises and suicide risk situations, developed and facilitated groups, and conducted extensive forensic and psychodiagnostic evaluations. Dr. Ramirez’ dissertation was a systematic review on nature-based interventions with Latinx adolescents and emerging adults. Doctora Ramirez’ mission is to help clients feel empowered, hopeful, skilled, and supported in their wellness journey.
