About Roxanne Steinhoff

Roxanne Steinhoff is the primary attorney and lead consultant at Steinhoff Law and head of the Destination Marketing & Sports Tourism Practice. Her distinctive experience and collaborative approach allows her to tailor solutions as unique as each of her clients. With almost a decade of experience in sports tourism and destination marketing, Roxanne specializes in arming her clients with the knowledge they need to reach their organizational goals and realize a holistic vision for their destinations. She also leads the firm’s general practice representing a variety of clients on numerous legal issues. Previously, Roxanne acted as lead consultant for sports tourism at Civitas, a firm engaged in providing tourism promotion funding solutions for destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and tourism bureaus internationally. Before coming to Civitas she spent almost five years at the Chicago Sports Commission (a part of Choose Chicago), hosting major international sports events for clients that included the NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAA and international sports federations. During that time, Destinations International recognized Roxanne as a future leader in the DMO space by awarding her as a 30 Under 30. Roxanne began her career working with the Boston 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Bid Committee, operating out of top-tier marketing firm Hill Holliday. Roxanne earned her J.D. at Michigan State University College of Law, graduating in the 98th percentile after transferring from the DePaul University College of Law where she also earned honors. She holds an M.A. in International Relations & International Communication from Boston University, and a B.A. in Communication from Lake Superior State University. She is a published author – her law article “Applying Tourism Improvement Districts to Sports Commissions: Securing Dedicated Funding for Sports Tourism” was published in June of 2021.
