i bring a set of talents that i believe will be valuable to the disability industry. in my senior support worker role at career development tumut, i have honed my abilities in teamwork and my commitment to enhancing the life options of people with a disability. my communication, people-centric nature, and eagerness to please have afforded me excellent delegation skills. i contribute my strengths and proficiency in a consumer-based service toward our team efforts. as an extroverted and personable communicator with a proven track record in time management, organizational skills and networking within the local community, i understand professional boundaries and why they are important in my role as a support worker. i like to build strong professional relationships, this has been a valuable asset throughout my career. in my current role, i work independently with minimal supervision. i currently help with ndis progress reports, planning meetings, person centred plans, speaking with parents and other stakeholders. i currently hold my certificate in education support which has helped me with the current job at cdt with helping clients obtain further education and pursue their individual goals. i have undertaken several professional development courses which have helped me to broaden my skill set. throughout my work history, i have been required to utilise the range of microsoft office software. this includes the presentation of information in a variety of formats: report writing, excel spreadsheets, in addition to writing various correspondences. i'm comfortable with technology i know and learning new computer and web-based programs. with the experience gained from working in my current role, and a background in support work within the childcare and aged care industries, i trust in my abilities to carter for a variety of specific needs and individualized support and care.i currently support clients with school leavers employment scheme and community participation funding. i feel confident supporting clients from personal care, budgeting, obtaining further education.
