I am a highly motivated and self-driven individual. My time in healthcare started in 2005 as a phlebotomist. Over the years I have worked my way up to my current position as a traveling surgical RN. As a surgical RN, I work with a team of individuals in multiple different departments from beginning to end. The easiest way to explain my position is like the project manager of the operating room. I work with multiple different departments to ensure the correct test, consents, orders, and equipment is present and ready for surgery. Finding "errors" or missing items and getting them rectified prior to surgery is the main goal. I truly enjoy this aspect of my job.
