About Roxy Thomas

As a proud psychiatric nurse and Métis citizen, I have over 37 years of progressive health care experience including front line clinical care; unit, program and site management responsibilities; program development at zone and provincial levels; and diverse quality improvement and change management proficiency. Initiated projects, policies and practices at a site program, zone and provincial level and this includes working with senior internal and external partners. I have provided reports to Senior executives, as well as Governance Boards and other Ministerial Departments. My understanding of change management, project management, quality assurance, risk management, building strategies and inter-departmental collaboration. I am comfortable in a coaching role and providing support and resources to operational managers and other partners. My passion is improving patient safety, cultural safety and advocating for improved mental health and addiction services.
