About Roy Choo
Roy is an all-rounder geoscientist that started off his career in seismic acquisition, working in various basins in Malaysia and Australia. Being the senior operations geophysicist, he led a team responsible for designing and executing various TZ, Vibroseis and Dynamite 2D and 3D seismic surveys.He then join Shell in 2012 as exploration geophysicist, primarily working as seismic processor in time and depth imaging. After 3 years, he moved to the Exploration team to deepen his skills as an Explorer, working in Shell Australia operated assets and non-operated ventures. By leveraging his geophysics skills, Roy continue to provide invaluable insights to de-risk subsurface uncertainties. Currently, Roy is pursuing his passion in QI Geophysics and leverage various technology including WEB-Inversion and JIFI.
