About Roy Corps

I have now been working within the insurance industry for over 37 years. During that time I have been involved in nearly every aspect of Insurance technical roles. I have in the past been responsible for Binding Authority Business, lines Slips and Open Market placements, including MRC Slip and Endorsement production, and, all associated technical roles from cradle to grave i.e. from credit control to Payment of premiums to Underwriters via the IMR. I have in the past managed Technical teams of between 5 and 25 staff working on business ranging from North American Property & Casualty, D&O, E&O, Marine & International. The principal area of insurance for me has generally been North American, as I have spent most of my career servicing this class of business. However, over the years I have been responsible for managing high volumes of Open Market risks (including Fortune 500 accounts) as well as high volumes of in house and third Party Binding Authority Agreements for all types of Insurance classes. At Chesterfield I also had an additional role as Technical Manager for an in-house MGA where my roles included assisting Underwriters in the production and placement of new and renewal U.K. Binding Authority Agreements, for UK based Property business and UK based Pet Insurance. My technical role for the MGA also included Premium Bordereau management and processing of monthly bordereau premiums. In April 2023 I accepted new role with Amwins Global Risk as an Operations Technical Lead. I am very happy in my new position & I am keen to face the challenges that this new role will bring.
