About Roy Delcarp

I would like to introduce myself and my skills to potential employers. My name is Romulo Del Carpio and I was both an architect and an urban planner and in my native Peru. I have a double university degree in both architecture and urban planning. I worked for the city of Lima, Peru, urban planning department for three years and I worked as an architect for the Mormon Church (LDS) in Peru. I want to make clear that I was a registered architect in Peru but not I am not registered in the USA. I was granted citizenship in the USA, and I hope to build my career assisting architects here, as I have skills I learned in architecture school and honed during the years I worked for the Mormon Church in Peru. I worked up to the rank of supervising architect and had as many as 40 architects and engineering consultants working on my concurrent projects in many locations in Peru. Peru is a country twice the size of Texas, which has challenging environmental and siting conditions, for which the Peruvian architect needs to be resourceful. I have worked for a registered architect here in Arizona on small commercial and residential projects. I used AutoCad in Peru and I added to those skills here in the US documenting my ideas for projects that include a gym remodel, a guest house project, and several medical clinic remodels and additions. I have the ability to give practical solutions to architectural problems to satisfy the needs of my clients. I speak fluent English and Spanish and I can communicate in Portuguese, too. I like to work in a team and motivate others to expand their skills and experiences. I have worked on many projects with tight schedules, and I can prioritize my time and resources.
