About Roy M.

Roy Malki is a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, the largest university in the nation with students. At UCF, Roy received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in terrorism studies & graduated at the top 2.5% of his class. Throughout his educational career, he participated in many leadership roles both on & off-campus. During his time at UCF, Roy co-founded his own club; Street Racing Made Safe, was on the executive board of both the largest fraternity in the world; Sigma Chi, as well as the largest Jewish organization in the world; Chabad. Roy’s volunteer work includes assisting in raising over $1,288,360 for the Children’s Miracle Network, assisting in raising for the Huntsman Cancer Institute Foundation, volunteering countless hours at Puppy Rescue Flight Orlando, & interning with the Department of Justice’s United States Marshals Service. These various roles Roy participated in played a major impact in allowing him the opportunity to expand his comfortability with leading others & being a role model to the people surrounding him. As an intern for the USMS, he gained vital knowledge on the way the Marshals operate & was able to have hands-on experience with tasks such as preparing cases & completing operational plans in a professional & orderly manner. Given the opportunity, he learned the daily duties of a Deputy, including: Prisoner Operations, Fugitive Operations, Judicial Operations, Witness Security, Justice Prisoner & Alien Transportation System (JPATS), Asset Forfeiture, Service of Court Process, Tactical Operations. Exposure to these operations taught him the need to make sound decisions & act quickly under stress, prepare clear & concise reports, & have the ability to interact with persons from all walks of life. Roy gained 5+ years of experience through Starbucks. Roy was first hired in 2017 as a barista & quickly climbed the ladder to barista trainer, shift supervisor, & assistant store manager. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the Starbucks community through effective organization, prioritization, & execution of key projects. During his most role, Roy not only served as the proxy of his store, but also – executed store operations, recruited high-quality candidates, conducted interviews while effectively participating in the hiring and termination of employees, maximized group performances, sustained strong professional relationships, completed thorough reports, analyzed store data, & maintained having the highest customer connection rating in his district.
