About Roy Veugen

I am a very driven person who is determined to make the most out of his career in sustainability and create a positive impact to the world. During my bachelor studies I got interested in sustainable development in the broader perspective. I like to improve our world to become more sustainable. For this reason I entered the master program sustainable development, track energy and resources. Here I learned more about e.g. future energy scenarios, sustainable energy technologies, energy efficiency, and environmental impact tools (like a life cycle assessment (LCA)). From May 2015 till November 2016 I worked as a junior energiespecialist at DWA. Here I did a lot of feasibility studies on possible energy savings and the use of renewable energy. This experience showed me that I do not want to be a technical specialist and that my interests are in broader sustainability topics like the circular economy, LCA and Cradle to Cradle. Thus in my future position I would like to work on these topics. This could be in an advising position but preferably in a specialist role.
