About Roz Catania

I have over 20 years in the retail food industry; with most of that time spent in management or training positions. I built my current department and position from the ground up, autonomously learning and developing SOP's to scale with ever-changing business needs and market climate. I also have bridged the departmental gaps between frontline employees at our retail stores, HR policies, accounting needs, and operational requirements, fostering communication and cooperation in a multi-faceted, quickly growing environment. I'm looking to extend these transferrable skills into new and interesting industries in software, management, and operations. I am curious and tenacious, finding solutions to mysteries and crossing the finish line every time, and eating up every bit of knowledge I learn along the way. In my time at Elephants, I've successfully implemented 4 different scheduling software platforms, 3 different POS systems, and a new timeclock. I created a competitive edge in a Covid-threatened industry by leveraging online ordering and 3rd party integrations for orders and delivery. I partnered with the accounting department and established protocols to safeguard accurate data with efficient labor practices. I also built our safety department from scratch and set up a compliant system of checks and balances to meet OSHA requirements. If there's anything I've learned, it's that I don't give up. Challenges just make me more determined to find answers and accomplish the goal. After working in so many frontline and back-end positions, I am uniquely positioned to harness my wide array of experience with B2B relationships, swift business growth, and unite disparate initiatives together in a common desired objective. The energy and service of the front end combined with the detail-oriented workflows on the back end have set me up to be successful in a new industry using the vast skill set my experience has afforded me, and I'm excited to see where I go next.
