About Ruben van Drie
After a lasting interest for biology during childhood I completed my study Biology and Medical laboratory research in Rotterdam in 2014. Immediately after completion of my study I started as a research technician in the Experimental Cardiology lab at the Erasmus MC in a research group focusing on the pathophysiology of heart disease as a result of multi-organ comorbidities. Proceeding my scientific career, I started as a PhD-student in 2021 at the department of Vascular Medicine and Pharmacology and the department of Experimental Cardiology at the Erasmus MC. Within my PhD-research I focus on coronary microvascular disease and the effect of pharmacological CGRP blockade on coronary vasotone control in the presence of cardiovascular riskfactors.
