About Rubens do Carmo

I'm Rubens, a Brazilian event expert and project manager with over 17 years of experience in end-to-end event production and operations, and over 12 years of project management experience applying PMI’s PMBOK practices within events of various types and sizes. I specialized myself in business conferences, exhibitions/trade shows and live events such as music festivals. I have a strong background in supplier coordination, stakeholder alignment, and cost management, enabling me to prepare and lead technical proposals that turn briefing concepts into successful, real-world events. I worked as a Senior Project Manager at MCI, where I was one of the professionals responsible for delivering Oracle’s Cloud World Tour events in Brazil and Mexico, in partnership with the local teams and the global managers, following the same standards as their other editions around the world. Currently I work in the production and operations management of Miza Abu Dhabi events. I also teach online courses on Microsoft Project on Udemy, where I have more than 50k students who have learned how to better manage their project schedules, costs, and resources with me. Having been an entrepreneur, I have created an owner's mindset that helps me look at the needs of the company and the clients rather than my personal interests, which guides my decision-making process to do what is right rather than what is easy.
