I am a highly motivated and innovation-driven research scientist with biochemistry, biology and genetics backgrounds. I have over 10+ years of experience in pioneering biological assays and genomic manipulation techniques, developing and optimizing protocols and SOPs. I have led research projects investigating an RNA-binding protein's role in reproduction and LINE-1 retrotransposons in germ cells. I am working to understand how allelic diversity or genetic background influences egg quality and quantity. My expertise includes DNA-based techniques such as DNA purification, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR), Molecular Cloning(Gibson Assembly, RNAi constructs), RNA-based techniques such as quantitative-PCR (qPCR), RNA Immunoprecipitation, NGS library preparation for RNA-Seq, and Protein-based techniques including protein expression and purification, Immunohistochemistry (IF), Immunofluorescence (IHC), In Situ Hybridization (ISH), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot, Antibody Conjugation and Optimizations and Multiplex Flow Cytometry. I have experience performing RNAi and CRISPR-Cas9 screens. Further, I am proficient in high-resolution imaging with DIC, confocal and multi-photon microscopes and using various data analysis tools. Through my experiences, I have built project management, leadership and communication skills, allowing me to contribute to varied laboratory settings such as academia and industry. Currently, I am seeking opportunities that will allow me to offer my skills in developing better technologies to improve human life.
