About Ruby Liptak

Hello there! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am studying a double degree of Actuarial Science and Law (with a focus on big data and finance) at the gorgeous Bond University. I moved from Adelaide to Goldy at the start of 2021 to pursue this dream degree. While I chose my second degree as law, my true passion lies in the riveting side of actuary: numbers, data and more numbers. I study law so that I am able to combine my skills in numeracy AND literacy, in hope that wherever it is I land, I can provide as much value as possible! Mid way through 2021 I landed an amazing position as the Global Equity Assistant at the high growth startup, Cake. Cake is a global fin-tech company which is based in the sunny Palm Beach. Cake is on a mission to simplify the way startups share ownership among the team. My role entails a whole bunch of aspects, such as analysis of the investor/employee/engagement data, contract review and automation, legal innovation and customer success. Working among a super cool team like at Cake, has made me motivated to continue involving myself in the startup world. On an Australian scale, watching the females who have struck the startup industry in the past decade, is all the inspiration I need.
