About Ruby Salvatore

One of my students used to tell me,"Ruby, you can do whatever you want, change your job as many times as you want. These days, nobody stays in the same job from the time they're an intern until they retire. What you need to do, is find your red thread."- in German, the red thread or "roter Faden" is an overarching idea that ties it all together. It connects all the disconnected pieces through an underlying theme or principle. Sure enough, the more I thought about it, the more it became apparent that my red thread is learning. Learning puts the pressure on all of us every day to take our success into our own hands and push beyond the limits we set for ourselves. My own learning adventure has taught me the valuable skill of asking meaningful questions and left me with a deeper understanding of human interaction. I want to create something exceptional. I want to work with people I believe in, and who believe in me. I want to push myself to the limit and see how far I can go, and then I want to go further.
