About Rudra Seegobin

As a Career Services Officer at Western University, I have experience in managing and facilitating the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Co-op and Master of Media in Journalism and Communication (MMJC) Graduate Co-op/Internship programs. I am passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience and develop their professional skills in diverse fields of work. I have a background in employment services, social service work, digital communications, and recruitment and selection. I have successfully assessed and processed Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) applications for local businesses, developed strategies to create opportunities for youth engaged in youth employment programming, and promoted non-profit Social Enterprise products to businesses in London and Middlesex. I have also developed and maintained an active network of employers and partners that offer job placements, training opportunities, and participation in employment services initiatives. I am skilled in job development, social networking, and marketing communications, and I strive to provide excellent service and support to both students and employers throughout the Co-op and Internship process.
